In the Studio - Work, Work, Work, Work, Work! But it's Fun!

Oh my Lord, this week has been THE BEST week so far for me and my business! I've never had so many clients in one week, and it's only Thursday! I still have more on the horizon!

No matter what business you're in, any day's a good day when you have clients or make a sale of a product or anything of the sort, especially if it's work you enjoy! I love my work with an absolute passion, my passion being music and helping others make music I get to work with some of the best talent around my area and hopefully one day the best talent in the country. I'm hoping to do great things with Studio 7-22 and I'm going to do what I can to make it all happen!

Now sometimes with working in a studio environment it is just work, boring, monotonous work, but still it can be fun hearing everything you get to do and the final results of a mix or a master and having a happy client at the end of the session/day/project. Over the years I've had a couple clients not happy with the work I've done, but I'd say at least 90% of the clients I've had have at least liked if not loved what I've done. I'd also like to say most of the clients I've had have been repeats and I'm starting to get more clients that are probably going to be repeats as well.

When working in a studio, there's a lot of elements that have to be put in place for everything to go right and as smoothly as possible. It's not easy all the time, but if you're smart about what you do, you can make anything work and work well!

The clients I've had so far this week have had me do mixing and mastering mostly, but I've had one that we did recording as well. As I'm typing this I'm rendering out the mixes for one of the clients, I render out pretty large file sizes because I like to give the highest detail I can with my mixes and masters. WAV FILES ALL THE WAY! If you're going to do something, do it the best you can, even if you're cheaper than the next guy, do your best, knock it out of the park and maybe next time you'll be able to charge more!

My point to all this is even the tedious work in a studio can be fun, experimentation is paramount and getting it right from the get go will make everything so much easier in the long run.

This has been Alex of Studio 7-22, Check ya later, God Bless and have a wonderful day!
